Well made. I wish the side railing went more towards the top. Maybe the deliberate gap is to go between two twin/full beds? The rubber used has great traction. The slight rubber smell goes away after two or three days. I have a very sensitive nose, yet I could tolerate the smell before it faded away. Thank goodness you can put the side railing on either side of the ramp. One predrilled hole almost didn't line up with the other predrilled hole (it was off by 1 mm.), but I managed to get it fit. Overall, a great buy. It took my smart dog a couple of times of encouragement, and now he's fine. If it seems too steep for your dog, try one level down. Then, once your dog is used to it, do it one level up to where you need it to be. I did that, and it worked out. My dog is 13 lbs., and it holds him very sturdily. You get your money's worth out of this. I like that they included 1 extra screw in case that you drop one. Easy and quick to assemble. Very well packaged to avoid dings.
