An item has to be really great in order for me to leave a review. This blanket is excellent. Honestly. My dog has been having accidents. He is a miniature schnauzer - so fairly small, but when he urinates, he fully empties himself. His bed is washable (except for the center pillow). As these accidents started becoming more frequent, I decided I needed to find a blanket that would absorb any mess, without affecting the pillow underneath (which I had replaced twice already). I put this blanket on top of his bed and let him nestle into it. It’s very soft on both sides and he loves it. The first morning it was on his bed, he had an accident. My husband and I were prepared to do the full cleaning routine we had done so many mornings prior - unzip his beds cover (which is tedious), hand wash the pillow, find another cozy spot for him to lay, etc. This blanket was soaked to the touch, but not one drop of liquid seeped through to the other side. INCREDIBLE. Honestly, this is so worth the buy! I’m actually getting another one now. And will likely get a third so that I have one for the couch. This blanket also washed up very easily. I actually use no heat to low heat when drying it. I’ve washed it at least five times since buying it and every time I pull it out of the dryer, it’s just as soft as when I first got it and it seems to be just as absorbent.Buy this if you need to protect a bed, chair, couch, rug, etc. It really works and it’s so soft and cozy. I highly recommend!I will say that the tan one is like a true tan on one side and a grey-ish taupe on the other. We were not concerned about the color, but it looks nice with our Scandinavian decor.
